About Us
FOUNDATION MISSION
The Mission of the SCTE Foundation is to nurture the career skills, opportunities and alliances that build and enable a diverse workforce to positively impact the communities cable serves. Notably to increase the technical, business and leadership skills of the telecommunications engineering workforce, promote technology and engineering in the early stages of education, attract and recruit women and minorities into an engineering career, and underpin cable workforce support for essential and emergency needs.
THE VALUE OF THE SCTE FOUNDATION
SCTE asked some of the Foundation's donors and volunteer leaders to discuss the benefits and value that it provides to the industry. Watch their stories to learn the importance of the SCTE Foundation and how it's advancing cable excellence one SCTE member at a time.
Our Innovative Training
The SCTE Standards Program provides an American National Standards Institute (ANSI)-accredited forum for the development of technical specifications supporting the cable telecommunications industry. It is also recognized by the International Telecommunication Union (ITU). SCTE standards cover a wide range of industry needs from F connectors to protocols for high-speed data access over cable to digital program insertion. More than 140 MSOs, vendors and allied organizations are SCTE Standards Program members.
Do you have a suggestion for a specific technical session topic or event you would like us to organize? We are all ears and want to hear from you.
